“Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul. And sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all.”
~Emily Dickinson
This quote found me this morning as I sat working in my office. It reminds me of the nature of my work as a therapist and how hope, though sometimes elusive, is always present. I see my job as helping people find where it may be perching. Or listening very closely with my clients to help them hear its tune (however quiet it might be).
I recorded a song based which I wrote based on this quote. It is called Hope Sings. It is available on an album by Richard Cifersky called Coming Back For More. It is available on I-Tunes. Richard is a world class banjo player from Slavakia but this CD was recorded in Nashville.
