About Zoe

Zoe Odegard, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor, Intake Coordinator

Coming from a professional foundation of Multiculturalism and Feminist theories, I offer my clients a therapeutic environment that can adapt and adjust to a person’s unique healing needs. I have a rich formal history in mindfulness as both a personal daily practice and as a therapeutic modality, holding the associated values of nonjudgment and acceptance dear. My hope is that you will find comfort in counseling with me, and I strive to create a space where you feel complete and accepted just as you are.

I approach every client from a trauma-informed perspective, and this is particularly true when working with folks holding LGBTQ+ identities. I value sex positivity and have experience supporting clients through gender affirming transitions and exploration of varying relationship structures and expressions of sexuality.

I have a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saybrook University, which is rooted in a person-centered approach. In addition, I have a Bachelor of Arts in both Contemplative Psychology and Traditional Eastern Arts from Naropa University, an accredited Buddhist institution. I am currently under the clinical supervision of Jennie Yngsdahl, MA, LP.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

“Among (many) other things, Zoe is easy to talk to, warm, generous, caring, empathetic, talented, and knowledgeable. I was honored to lead a trauma and mindfulness-based group with Zoe, and I was consistently inspired by their effortless ease when relating to clients: Zoe has just the right combination of strength and compassion, which manifests into an exceptional healer. Zoe is also a professional, collaborative, fun, and responsive colleague.  Zoe has helped me become a better healer, myself, and I consider having worked with them to be a highlight of my career thus far.”
