Jasmine Kroese, RN, MA, Psychotherapist
My aim as a therapist is to co-create an environment that is gentle, safe, and inviting. My approach is strength-based, relational, collaborative, and trauma-informed. In therapy sessions I use psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and body-based processing in combination with providing skills and tools to create change.
I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART). ART uses rapid eye movements to change the way in which distressing memories and images are stored in the brain to minimize strong physical and emotional reactions. ART is federally recognized as an effective psychotherapy for PTSD, depression, stress, and personal resilience. In addition to ART, I have completed Brainspotting – Phase 1 training and use this approach with those who have an interest.
In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I have 17 years of experience working as an RN and community health nurse. My experience as a nurse informs my approach to therapy by providing a more comprehensive and holistic view of healing. My work is also informed by my long-term engagement in the practices of meditation, mindfulness, and spiritual inquiry. I have been a student of the Diamond Approach to inner work since 2010
My life experience includes parenting a child with medically complex health issues within a blended family. As a fellow traveler, I’ve experienced life’s tender lows and poignant highs. I look forward to meeting you where you are in your journey.
